Could anyone fill me in on the status and availability of a library called smpeg, a “SDL MPEG library”? A program I’m trying to compile requires it. It seems oddly hard to find. The packman repository website actually shows “smpeg” in its multimedia collection, but the development package, which once was called libsmpeg-devel, although I also have seen it called “lsmpeg”, seems to have vanished. I’m trying to rebuild this application on a 64-bit system just converted to the new whiz-bang 11.4 release.

google led me to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SMPEG which gives links to
“Old SMPEG Website” and “Current SMPEG Website” are either of those
helpful in learning the status and availability?
