Default Kernel selfupdate to 2.6.32.29 after new packages install in Yast

    After installation via Yast
    on SLED11-SP1 i586- HP Compaq 620
several packages, including Virtual Machine Manager,

I noticed that, in addition to already installed stable kernel packages:
    Code:
    kernel-pae-2.6.32.27-0.2.2
    kernel-pae-base-2.6.32.27-0.2.2
    kernel-pae-devel-2.6.32.27-0.2.2
    kernel-pae-extra-2.6.32.27-0.2.2
    kernel-source-2.6.32.27-0.2.2
    - new versions (2.6.32.29) have appeared on the list:
    Code:
    kernel-default-2.6.32.29-0.3.1
    kernel-default-base-2.6.32.29-0.3.1
    kernel-default-devel-2.6.32.27-0.2.2
    kernel-default-extra-2.6.32.29-0.3.1
    kernel-xen-2.6.32.29-0.3.1
    kernel-xen-base-2.6.32.29-0.3.1
    kernel-xen-devel-2.6.32.27-0.2.2
    kernel-xen-extra-2.6.32.29-0.3.1
which resulted in three more start up options:

    Code:
SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 11 SP1-2.6.32.29-0.3 (default)
Failsafe -- SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 11 SP1-2.6.32.29-0.3
Xen -- SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 11 SP1-2.6.32.29-0.3
SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 11 SP1-2.6.32.27-0.2 - [highlighted panel]
Failsafe -- SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 11 SP1-2.6.32.27-0.2
    Recovery
Being new to kernel updates, and learning from forums that building new kernels reqires painstaking efforts, I am worring about the system stability, as version 2.6.32.29 does not belong to the list of stable packages.

Moreover, having launched the system in (default) option,
my PS external mouse failed to work. That urged me to restart in the timeout mode [highlighted panel].

Is there something wrong here or nothing to worry about?

    I will apreciate your advice.

    Hi
Wrong forum, please post your query in the SLED forum at NOVELL FORUMS, can you also ensure you put your system in the subject. There are a few HP people that swing by, so it will help identify your post.
