Default New Skype beta version released

New Skype beta version released. Not a lot of new features. Mostly brings improved call and video quality, support for multiple calls and brings Skype Access a way to get on-line from half-a-million WiFi hotpots world wide using Skype credit.

    Hi,
Conference calls were already working on 2.1.0.81.
In options >sound there is now a direct access to pavucontrol for pulse. This is a plus.. for the rest.. not a revolution!

What about the opening to the community? any project undergoing?

Instead of adding some (silly) features, they should have made a 64bit version. And, its still beta.
    I'll pass.

At least we do have have a new version, I was beginning to think that they had abandoned development for Linux completely.

If anyone has tries it yet would they like to post their experiences ?

I just have installed new version.
At the first glance everything seems to be OK and working.

same here (x64), but i don't see any difference to the previous one.
pulseaudio selection, which someone mentioned earlier, is still the same
for me: only one choice, but works. they claim better audio & video
quality, which i didn't experience. that may be due to my small bandwidth
    tho.
