    Default Live USB localization

How do you localize openSUSE-11.4-KDE-LiveCD on a pendrive? I have installed bundle-lang-common-hu, bundle-lang-kde-hu, kde4-l10n-hu and yast2-trans-hu and changed locale in both Configure Desktop and YaST but the menus are only half-translated.

openSUSE installed from the DVD on a hard disk is properly translated. What makes the difference?

In short: you can't. To save space on the CD image, the language files are being downloaded during an install. The DVD has more space on it, so these files are included.

perhaps the OP could use SUSE Studio to build exactly the live image
wanted for the pendrive.. here http://susestudio.com/

Yes, you can. This is a live usb, not a live cd. Whatever additional packages you install will be stored at /media/hybrid/.clicfs_COW. Meanwhile, I have found the missing package: in addition to bundle-lang-common-$LANG, bundle-lang-kde-$LANG and kde4-l10n-$LANG, you also have to install the desktop-translations package.

Thanks for your replies anyway. They made me think.
