Default After nornal update, Nautilus stopped working and other gnome strangeness

Fresh install of 11.4 Gnome livecd version a few days ago. Just did a normal daily update and now nautilus does not work.
The error message from terminal reads
(nautilus:7726): Unique-DBus-WARNING **: Error while sending message: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken.
Also other errors include, the icons on the panel has re-arranged themselves, as well as unable to right click on the desktop.

The only additional app installed was gDesklets, but I removed that after a few minutes.

    Any ideas, thanks.

Ok, I've tried to re-install nautilus, I've also added another user to check if it is a settings isue. But still it does not work.

Is there a way to remove yesterdays update patches, as that seems to be the cause?

Default SOLVED, Kill HAL Re: After nornal update, Nautilus stopped working and other gnome strangeness

After two hours of wasted time trying to fix it, the problem was HAL. Remove otherwise it will make your life HALL!
