    Default Screen Flicker

    version 11.0 was fine.

version 11.1 and 11.2 not sure.

    11.3 and now 11.4 problem.

    I have an ATI Radeon HD 3870 with a Hanns-G HG216D connected.

All my other OS's seem fine with the setup, xp, vista, deb, ubuntu, mint, PClos etc etc when I have tried them.

BUT opensuse 11.3 and 11.4 have a very annoying screen flicker/refresh problem.
Gone are the days when SAX was the thing to use.

    XP is set at 1024 x 768 x 75Hz.

I cannot get rid of this screen flicker, despite trying to set my settings to match XP.

    Can I download alternate drivers?

    Is SAX hidden somewhere?

Any help clues or whatever would be appreciated.

One guaranteed cure is to install Ubuntu, but that is shite to look at, so I wont.

nope, it got so old, out of date, and impossible to support that
'they' asked for folks to help hacking on one stepped up so it
was dropped (about v .1 or so)....

but, maybe this year's Google Summer of Fun will begin a SAX3
