Default OSS source repository doesn't have any src rpm in YaST2!

    Hi,

I'm using openSUSE 11.4 64bit (KDE). I enabled Index of /source/distribution/11.4/repo/oss repository through YaST2 but it is empty and I can't see any source rpm file in YaST2. I even delete that repository and add it again but still empty. I open the link in firefox and it's not empty or invalid link.

    Code:
    # zypper lr -d

    # | Alias | Name | Enabled | Refresh | Priority | Type | URI | Service

Interseting: zypper can see source rpms but YaST2 can't!

when you say YaST2 can't see source rpms, exactly how and where are
    you looking?

i ask that because the Software Management module of YaST2 is a tool
for software management (installing/uninstalling software) and as far
as i know was not designed to present a browser or file manager like
display of the rpm files resident on distant repo servers...as (for
    example) a browser would..

at least, if it does that that, i've not learned how to do it...as i
see it the Software Management module gives a list of packages in
package name order, and not rpms in rpm name order... a subtle
    difference i admit..

but, what happens in YaST2, using it the way you are, if you use this
    as your target to 'see':

    http://download.opensuse.org/source/.../oss/suse/src/

can you then see the source rpms?

One way to get source RPMs is to go to the directory, with a browser:

    http://download.opensuse.org/source/.../oss/suse/src/

    then download from there.

The design of YaST2 is such that source RPMs are not shown on purpose,
I think. Only advanced or adventurous users are interested in getting
    such packages, perhaps?
