The Plasmoid-Networkmanager and KNetworkManager are defaults on a openSUSE 11.4 stable DVD that is just installed with KDE4. This should not be IMO.

There are serious problems affecting the whole networking system, even the traditional ways to connect. And users can forget about painless UMTS connections, while WLAN gets very troublesome itself.

On the other hand, the nm-applet from GNOME works just perfectly.
