    Hello inp3dance,

First of all this topic should be placed inside OpenSuse Buildservice (OBS)

    How do you mean?
Technically it would be yes, but I'm not sure if it's allowed.
I mean if you want to package it together with codecs.

And why would you want to package mplayer since it's already in the packman repository?

    Best of luck!
Where did I put my coffee cup?
    dir -R /home/* | grep "coffee cup"

Sorry, the phrasing was wrong. The question is if it is allowed to build mplayer with codecs, or anything which is related to restricted formats?
Is there any documentation for build service?
I did not know that there is a dedicated forum for OBS, how can I request to move this thread there?

Sorry for all the questions, I am a long time openSUSE user, but I just get the appetite to patch and build my own packages, be active on the forum, submit bugreports, and I have to learn.
