Hello,
I am having a strange problem with gnome-nettool… it seems that the ping function does not work, so I get no ping responses.
If I run the gnome-nettool from terminal window pinging 8.8.8.8 (as root or as my user) this is the output:
(gnome-nettool:27659): Gtk-CRITICAL **: IA__gtk_entry_set_text: assertion `text != NULL' failed
(gnome-nettool:27659): Gtk-CRITICAL **: IA__gtk_entry_set_text: assertion `text != NULL' failed
(gnome-nettool:27659): Gtk-CRITICAL **: IA__gtk_entry_set_text: assertion `text != NULL' failed
(gnome-nettool:27659): Gtk-CRITICAL **: IA__gtk_entry_set_text: assertion `text != NULL' failed
(gnome-nettool:27659): Gtk-CRITICAL **: IA__gtk_entry_set_text: assertion `text != NULL' failed
(gnome-nettool:27659): GLib-GObject-WARNING **: invalid cast from `GtkToggleAction' to `GtkWidget'
(gnome-nettool:27659): Gtk-CRITICAL **: IA__gtk_entry_set_text: assertion `text != NULL' failed
command: /bin/ping ping -b -c 5 -n 8.8.8.8
I understand this wrong:
command: /bin/ping ping -b -c 5 -n 8.8.8.8
and should be:
command: /bin/ping -b -c 5 -n 8.8.8.8
The other errors about gtk, would be great to know what means, too.
Is it possible to solve it?
Thank you very much,
PS: I have made a fresh install of opensuse 11.4 (used to have 11.3 and no problem with nettool)
