Default Notification area applet editing in 11.4

Hello, I'm sorry in advance if it is not the right place to ask my question, yet I'd like to know how to remove the monitor settings icon from from notification area applet in 11.4. You see, I'm using nvidia drivers with nvidia-settings program, so this little icon is irrelevant to me, also it uses up free visual space.

See this image for further information:

Thank you for all your answers in advance.
