    fixed it.
    Now to get VMWare player / Workstation working ..............

    I tried chromium and chrome on 11.4 x86_64. and 32 bit on 3 pc's: all worked 5 min and then all crashed or froze: uninstalled!!! no way to get it working twice!
    openSUSE 12.2 (x86_64) KDE 4.8.5, Laptop: KEYNUX Ymax I7, RAM 4GB, HD 120GB SSD (OS) + 500GB, 64-bits Quad-core Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU Q 740 @ 1.73GHz, Video 17" nVidia GeForce GTX 285M

    Thanks for your offer.
    Before bothering you, I took the time to launch chrome from a terminal and I could read it was begging for kwallet. So I enabled kwallet and it seems to work. I need to use a proxy (proxy switchy) but I noticed that it changes KDE network settings.
    A bit intrusive!

    Not working finally: pages take ages to load and most of them end by a crash.
    greasemonkey scripts not working as advertised
    A lot of residual "chrome" processes remain in RAM after closing
