Thread: How to add back notification bar please?

Default How to add back notification bar please?

I accidentally remove the applications notification bar from the right of the panel, near the clock (that one that shows update news, messenger incoming message and other app. statuses). In the panel option I found no setting option about notifications bar (or how is actually called in open SUSE). I use KDE Desktop. Please advice! Thanks!

    Hi,

If you right-click on the panel bar, unlock plasmoids, add plasmoids and add notification plasmo.

    HI,
I don't have this option (unlock/add plasmoids) anywhere in the panel bar options and settings.

did you do this prior to installing http://tinyurl.com/2ebcf27

if not, do it now! and if your install media fails, throw it away (or
mark it so that it is NOT used)..

Hi, Thanks for help. I finally found by more searches, to find out that this notification bar that is called "system tray" is actually a "widget" so I simply added back with "add widgets" option. Solved

happy you solved it! but, consider this the next time you have need
for help here: in different languages anything might be called
something completely different...and, any of the world wide volunteers
here who answers here may see a menu item which is "add widgets" on
your desktop, but in theirs it is in a totally different alphabet
(maybe written right to left even) and lingo which may or may not
translate well to _exactly_ what you see.....

so, listen to the answers in an inclusive and creative way...

    seee?
