Broken mirror

In the last couple of weeks every time my Suse 11.1 attempts to automatically update software a message is displayed saying that contacting the relevant provider is proving impossible and that this could be the result of a broken mirror. It suggests I seek a different provider.
I have no clue on how I would go about doing this.
Can anybody walk me through this?
Many thanks.

Hi
It’s broken because 11.1 is no longer supported, check the list of
mirrors here and modify to suit;

Oh! I hadn’t realised!
Would you recommend upgrading to a newer version or should I continue with what I’ve got?
Forgive my ignorance, but is it possible to simply upgrade my existing Suse (without losing information), or is is better to wipe the existing version and start anew?

Hi
11.4 will be out soon… me I always do a backup of important data and then a fresh install… It’s better with later versions, not sure about 11.1

Lifetime - openSUSE

OK. I don’t need to upgrade just yet -I’m happy with 11.1.
I’ll wait for 11.4.
Thanks.

There is the evergreen project, which aims to keep 11.1 running longer? openSUSE:Evergreen - openSUSE
