I’ve a question about KDE desktop effects. How do I directly enable KDE desktop effects in KDE? 
Now I have to enable Gnome desktop effects, then KDE desktop effects will be enabled. When I select “enable desktop effects” and press “OK” in KDE, it will tell me “… X configuration …” something. What the hell is that? >:( I never met this problem in Gnome. Is it a KDE’s bug?
To use effects in kde
First make sure you are using the kde managers:

Then reboot
Login with kde and make sure you select 'KDE’s default - Not Compiz!
