Default Play high-end games through WINE

HI,im planning to migrate from windows to OpenSUSE. One thing i cant leave from windows is, its support for high end games.
I did some research, we can use Wine application in Linux. Im wondering, if i install a game (for example) FIFA 11, will it run smoothly like i run it on Windows 7? Does it depend on our hardware (graphic card, processor, memory)?
BTW, im using quad core 2.9ghz, ATI Radeon 5670 and 4gb Corsair HP Ram.
    Thanks.

You will need to use windows for many games I'm afraid. I'm not going to tickle your ears with things you want to hear but that are actually not true.
Some games do work in Wine and even when they do, there are usually complications to say the least.

Linux is not for games. As caf4926 said, you can play games with wine but this platform is not for all. I know that you thing why games do not play with linux etc. In my opinion all programmes must run with two operating systems and not linux users are marginalized. All companies must also produce products for linux. In world there are three operating systems: Windows os, mac os,linux os. I said linux os!!!

I run "world of warcraft" just fine thru wine. Very smooth. Check the
winehq app db for which games run on wine. There are a few that run
    quite well.

Yes this is very true but I don't think You can call WoW a high-end game today as it runs great on relatively poor hardware.

You're probably right. "High-end" is a relative term.
