Krusader 2.3.0 beta package download
Hello,
does anybody know where to find the package for Krusader 2.3.0 for OpenSUSE 11.3? I know that there are source codes, but I not familiar with compiling - I prefer a binary package.
Thanks.

there is not, and probably never will be a 2.30 package built for
openSUSE 11.3...generally applications are not upgraded during the
(short) life of a openSUSE version..
11.3 was born with 2.0.0 and it will probably die with it....on the
other hand if there is a security problem with it, it will probably be
either patched in place or upgraded to a fixed level..
compiling is not so very difficult....do some reading and it is pretty
easy, not a lot more than:
-download source
-unpack somewhere
-read the README (and similar inside info files inside the unpacked source
-that info will *probably* say something like:
-- run ./configure
-- run make
-- as root run make install
-smile, you are done. (unless you also want a launching icon, etc)

so, if you install it and have problems you should discuss those
problems in the correct forum:
http://forums.opensuse.org/english/g...-release-beta/
all software from either 'factory' or 'playground' is *not* openSUSE
"released" software and it is not recommended for production systems..
any system with any data you want to keep, is not a "production
system"....it is never a good idea to do software testing on your only
machine..
