Default Opensuse 11.3 Gnome - new panel is invisible

Hi! I've installed Opensuse 11.3 with Gnome.
I've opened a new panel but i can't see it and modify it. I know that the new panel has been created because if I enlarge my firefox it doesn't fit all the screen, but it leaves the space of the new panel, but I don't know ho to modify or remove it
    Does anybody can help me?
    Thanks

Have you done updates? (YaST -> Online Update) Haven't used GNOME in a while but if I remember correctly one of the updates fixes this.
    Desktop: Gigabyte GA-Z270-HD3 - Core i7 7700K - openSUSE Leap 42.2 KDE
    Laptop: HP EliteBook 8770W - Core i7 3940XM - openSUSE Leap 42.2 KDE
