    well, i think i learned something, because heretofore i thought the tags
    had to use upper case, like

    Code:
    THIS

    I wonder if it matters at all about case?
    Code:
    sample
    Code:
    sample 2

    DenverD;

    The document I've used for a few years shows the BB codes as lower case.
    Never gave it much thought until your post. See:

    http://forums.opensuse.org/misc.php?do=bbcode

    In any event, it looks like case is ignored at least on the nntp side;
    maybe it needs to be upper case on the Web side?

    wow, thanks for that! totally new to me....i 'learned' what little i
    know about it by seeing (in nntp) the results of a web poster's
    actions...like, if they use (in their web browser edit window) the #
    button to mark a section as code, it will show up here as all caps:

    Code:
    example of 'code' box

    Anyway, if i use the same email and the same username it should post, shouldn't it?

    This forum certainly does show up - I'm posting from the NNTP side.

    You may need to refresh your group list.
