    Test to see whether code indentation used in NNTP posts is observed on HTML site:

    Using [ code ] tag with two-space indentation:

    Code:
    class classname:
    def __init(self):
    pass
    Using [ CODE ] tag with two-space indentation:

    Code:
    class classname:
    def __init(self):
    pass
    Using [ code ] tag with tab indentation:

    Fail... suppose this is only appropriate for a 600th post.

    Worked. But with extra char.n Another test:

    I'm afraid that that (or indeed any) extra character will prevent the Python code from running and so it couldn't be
    pasted in. Since space indentation in Python has semantic value, the HTML forum is not Python-friendly to NNTP posts. I
    can think of no workaround.

    They look just fine here - both with line wrap turned on and off.

    You misunderstand. I know they look fine on NNTP. Look at the webpage version (post #172) of the thread. At least on
    Firefox and Konqueror of every version of openSUSE I have, the correct indentation is not observed in the code excerpts.
