    that is coming from some DNS server somewhere...and, the DNS trouble
    is at your end...or maybe the DNS your ISP provides for you..

    try this, go to: http://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com/

    and copy/paste into the blank there:
    http://ftp5.gwdg.de/pub/opensuse/repositories/

    and you will probably get back this (i just did, which means the site
    IS available to all, except you):
    "It's just you. http://ftp5.gwdg.de is up."

    recommend you use the forums advanced search function to drag through
    the networking forum for any of several recent threads on similar
    problem...and, i'm pretty sure you will find a solution...if not, be
    post again over there and tell what you put in resolve.conf (via YaST
    or other networking helper) which didn't work for you..
