Default I'm seeking an application to backup my mobile phone sim card

    Hi all,

I am looking for an application to assist me to back up my sim card on my mobile telephone. In fact I am aiming to copy all my phone contacts and restore it on a newer phone if possible.

Does anyone know whether I can do this.

I have previously attempted to do this on Wammu without success.

I have also attempted to install monosim without success.

Can someone please point me in the right direction.

    Thank you.

My oldish Nokia phone has an option to back up the sim card data to a memory card. You may need to save the data on the sim to another location on the phone and then transfer it from that location rather than directly from the sim card.

That's exactly the way I do it, also on my new LG on Android.

I am in the process of changing from an oldish Motorola to a new Blackberry. I would like to get everything off the old phone onto the computer. No luck. I wasted a half a day fooling with it. I would have to buy $50 software for the old phone to do it.

I decided that since it is a one-time-only task, I would be better off to just do it manually. Once on the Blackberry, it should be easy (?) to synchronize (under Windows at least).

    Cordially,

BitPim has a Linux version Welcome to BitPim, assuming your phone is supported.
openSUSE Leap 42.1 x64, Plasma 5 & KDE 4.14.x, pretty current proprietary Nvidia drivers (self-compiled)
