especially when I copy from a smb:// to my disk, dolphin start immediately to copy but when I click on a tab or a folder (a one that I didn't opened before) dolphin shows it to me after a couple of minutes, is it possible to solve??

I also experience such slowdowns not only in dolphin but also in Konqueror.
It only happens when copying large number of files/folders.

The only solution I found is copy from the commandline.
Or you could copy parts instead of all in one go.

From my experience this problem especially appears when copying a large number of files to a external drive or via network.

    Best of luck!

Same here, but its interesting updating to a more modern Kernel(.36 & .37) that issue does not occur here more!!

    Yes,
    software.opensuse.org: Search Results

Search by Kernel Desktop, then it will yield a lot of kernels, the lastet kernel is : 3.6.36, click on Click-Install (an install like windows installers, accept the news repositories if you does not have them already and click next until finish).

    PS: remember if you use:

    - Virtualbox you need to uninstall e install again to VirtualBOx use the correct and new Kernel and not the old one.

    - Broadcom wireless drivers does not have yet a version to this kernel!

Any problem I will try help!!

this method seems rather dangerous to me, especially if you include users'
home directories in the search. you'll never know how stable or even
useable the particular kernels you find may be. i've had good experience
    using the latest kernel from
    Code:
    http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/Kernel:/HEAD/
they have been working well for the last several months for me.

Yeah, I would suggest if you does not use Virtualization(VMware, VirtualBox ...), because wireless just works on actual(.34) kernel!!

PS: Kernel .37 is the best kernel I ever seen, huge and modern drivers compatibility and fast load!!

Please, do not advertise the use of the HEAD repo as a solution to all issues, or as a means to raise performance. The kernels in the HEAD repo are under heavy development, considered experimental and not for production use.

did you read the previous messages? i did not advertise it, but
recommended it over wildly searching OBS for _any_ kernel that might be
sitting in someone's home directory. apart from that i have been using
HEAD kernels for several months, with not one failure. still, the safest
is, of course, to use the standard kernel.

I think the openSUSE repository Rolling Release will use kernel .37 as default !!

    Regarding about the main question:

    Kernel Stable : 6.34 & 6.36
Kernel In Development: .6.37 (some few weeks it will release the official stable version)
