Thread: CUPS is asking for a password to print anything

  1. #1

Default CUPS is asking for a password to print anything

    opensuse v11.3
    linux 2.6.34.7-0.5-desktop x86_64

I must have done something while wandering through the CUPS web interface but I cannot say what it was. Nevertheless, now I must enter a password every time I print a document.

Is there a way to negate the requirement?

Check your settings via CUPS web admin interface (with a browser):

    http//localhost:631/

You can set user access from there.

If you get stuck, post the output of

    Code:
    cat /etc/cups/cupsd.conf
