    Default Installing R

Hi, I recently install opensuse 11.2 and I can't install R, I've tried to install it from the cran website and from the education repository without succed. Installing from the education repository creates a new folder in the root folder which contains R (or at least a think), but i can't execute it.
I'm new to linux and really don't know what to do, any help will be appreciated.

I have R from the education repository on my notebook and it works. What do
you mean with "install without succeed"?
    Were there error messages.

    What does
    rpm -q R-base
    show you?

    From the Gnu R page:
R is a free software environment for statistical computing and graphics. It
compiles and runs on a wide variety of UNIX platforms, Windows and MacOS.

Have you tried this: Link to install R ?
    It's a 1-click install.

Sorry for a misleading information, I looked today and noticed that my R
(which works) is from the science repository not from the education
    repository.
