    Just updated NVIDIA driver, now:

    OS: Linux 2.6.37.1-1.2-desktop i686
    System: openSUSE 11.4 (i586)
    KDE: 4.6.00 (4.6.0) "release 6"

    Processor (CPU): Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T9300 @ 2.50GHz
    Speed: 800,00 MHz
    Cores: 2

    Total memory (RAM): 3,9 GiB
Free memory: 2,3 GiB (+ 1,1 GiB Caches)
    Free swap: 2,0 GiB

    Vendor: nVidia Corporation
    Model: Quadro FX 360M
    2D driver: nvidia
    3D driver: NVIDIA 270.41.03

Desktop effects "activated", effect for windows switching set to "No effect": all seems OK.
If I change from "No effect" to "Flip Switch" the system gets unstable and impossible to use decently. I'm thinking about it as a KDE's problem more than a Nvidia's one.
    Does anyone else agree?

Yes, I agree. I found this. I have no idea how long the fix will take to filter into the updates however.
