    Can't set screen resolution 1024x768 permanently.
    There is no tools like sax2 which is in openSUSE 11.2.

    I am to set screen resolution to 1024x768 every time after loggin in.

    Have you searched the forum for similar problems? I recall this coming up more than once, and possible solutions posted by user deano_ferrari , and maybe others.

    I've found that in openSUSE 11.2 that if I don't turn on the monitor first, the resolution drops to some safe VGA resolution... otherwise, it detects the monitor's full resolution and works fine.
