Thread: How install/choose KDE Icon Theme?

  1. #1

Default How install/choose KDE Icon Theme?

    I went to:

Configure Desktop > Appearance > Icons > Get New Themes

and I chose a new theme by clicking "Install." Now it shows it as installed (has "uninstall" button) but when I go to "Customize KDE Icons" it doesn't show up. I tried logging out and back in but it still won't show as a choice (but it's still "installed" somewhere).

How do i get this to show up as an actual choice?

It doesn't work sometimes due to incompatibility. You can try copying the new unzipped icon folder in /usr/share/icons. That's what I do in xfce could work also in kde. If it doesn't work you can just delete it.
People who do not break things first will never learn to create anything
