    Default Font Installation

    How to install a new font?
    I dont have regional language font in OpenSuse. So I am planning to download a .ttf file . But I dont know how to install it. Help.

    What do you mean, the language is not supported?

    First we need some more info:
    Which openSUSE version.
    Which desktop? Gnome/KDE/Other?

    If you want the font to be available system-wide, copy it to /usr/share/fonts as root.

    In KDE4 it's simple: Systemsettings - Font Manager.
    In the first screen click Add, select the .ttf file. Done.
