Thread: install Oracle 11g R2 on Open Suse 11.6,

  1. #1

Default install Oracle 11g R2 on Open Suse 11.6,

I'm trying to install Oracle DB on my Open Suse
    (uname says: Linux-llwu 2.6.34.7-0.3-desktop preempt 2010-09-20 .. 86_65 x86_64 x86_64 gnu/linux)

but it fails when it need to check package requirements..

for example, installation says that libaio-0.3.105 is missing, but I installed it (0.3.105-2), and could upgrade it to 0.3.107-4.1

how should I fix this problem?

do you know how to solve this?

    I mean.. it's important...
I have a web site that relies on oracle db... and there's a girl comming to my place this evening...
I planned to impress her with my site..
If I impress her, there's probably going to be some sex this night..

so, if I don't install oracle DB, there will be no sex...

    got it?

Please describe what steps you made exactly before that error happens or
which guide you followed. In general you can look here for some info what
    might be missing

It's still looking for that particular library. Make a soft link?

I've done all by this guide, but when I log on as an Oracle user, I receive a message:

kstartupconfig4 does not exist or fails. The error code is 3. Check your installation
