    Question Unable to start Skype

just like everyone who gets trouble after moving from windows to Linux. i am one of them.
i have installed the Skype successfully from this help page
    SDB:Skype - openSUSE
but when I click on Skype icon from internet>more application . in the bar it shows like, Skype is trying to connect but after some seconds it disappears from the task bar.
i am using Opensuse 11.3 KDE desktop.
    thank you,
    Abrar Ahmed

    64 or 32 bit?

Try opening a konsole and stating skype form the command line so we can see any error messages. Just type skype at the command prompt.

    great job!!

i predict you are going to love Linux: because, once you knew how to
find the error you figured out to win the game named "How do i solve
    this little puzzle!)

lots to learn..a slightly dated list of stuff you might find helpful

(sorry, but since that was written 'they' have upgraded both the forum
and the wiki and broke lots of links...but some are still ok)
