Smile Both the KDE and Gnome

I have the Suse DVD with me.

I need to know if I will get the KDE or the Gnome Desktop features installed as Default.

KDE is the default, but you can choose to install Gnome too. That way you'll have both and can switch between them. You could also install Gnome anytime later on.

during the install there is a step where you can choose your desktop,
if you do nothing on that page you will get KDE...*if* your "Suse DVD"
is openSUSE 11.1, 11.2 or 11.3 and it was downloaded from
software.opensuse.org (other DVDs may have other defaults)

if, on the other hand it is SUSE Enterprise Linux Desktop it will
    default install Gnome.

You can choose during the install whether you want KDE or GNOME but you can always install the other after the install and have both and have the option on choosing one on login.

maybe the best thing you can do is to install both of them and make your choice
by default - it's kde, but installer lets you choose between kde, gnome, xfce etc.
