I have qmail + vpopmail + qmailadmin + dovecot + squirrelmail installed on an OpenSuSE 11.1 system and I am about to upgrade to 11.3. I’ve been successfully running qmail on SuSE since 8.something, with one small problem. YaST insists that I have one of its known mail servers installed.
For now what I want to do is create the smallest stub ‘application’ that will trick YaST into thinking that my manual qmail installation is an acceptable mail server. Eventually I may be interested in actually allowing YaST to install qmail.
If someone already has the stub application that would be great, but I would prefer pointers on where to look for information on how the Software Management section of YaST can be manipulated.
