Thread: install OpenSuse 10.2 as virtual Machine on OpenSuse 11.3

  1. #1

Default install OpenSuse 10.2 as virtual Machine on OpenSuse 11.3

I am tring to use virtulization technique to over come from hardware dependencies. I am unable to create a VM of OpenSuse 10.2 on OpenSuse11.3.

I want to know, is it possiable to install OpenSuse 10.2 as a VM on OpenSuse11.3 using Xen.

given enough ram, and a correctly set up Xen, it should run..

well, that is i know of no reason it should not....i guess if the 10.2
is a 64 and your 11.3 is not (i don't know about Xen) that might be a
    problem..

i tried Xen some years back with limited success...on the other
VirtualBox was simple to setup and run..

hmmmmm, hardware dependencies?? i guess the box is smooth with 11.3
but not 10.2, or what? hmmmm...do you have an application that demands
10.2 and will not run on 11.3, strange indeed..
