I need a USA channel scanning list for my DVB usb tv tuner.

South Eastern USA. Thanks.

Hi
If you install dvb and run;

scan /usr/share/dvb/atsc/us-NTSC-center-frequencies-8VSB -o zap | tee ~/channels.conf

Thanks. I just did a “locate” command for dvb and it came up on the listing. My next question is why does “MeTV” give me the option to do a channel scan during setup, and when I choose USA it says it cannot search for USA. When I put in any other country it works. How do I tell it to search under ATSC in USA? All it looks for is dvb-s, dvb-t and dvb-c, nothing for ATSC. That is why all the other countries work.

Hi
I use smplayer and it works fine with my USB ATSC device in MS, vlc
should also work.

All the other tv players don’t work for me. They all turn on my webcam instead! They do not even show my dvb tuner as an option/source. Very irritating. Metv is the only one that has it right.

Hi
Did you build from source?

I don’t get any issues on my netbook which has a webcam with vlc or
smplayer (mplayer).

Hi
OK, installed me-tv 1.3.1 from packman and it found my device and picks
up the USA scan channels.

me-tv

Maybe if you delete ~/.local/share/me-tv/me-tv.db and restart it will
scan?
