    Default Problem installing Virtualbox

    Hi

I am running Opensuse 11.3 64 bit KDE.

    I need help installing Virtualbox.

I installed Virtualbox from this repo: Index of /virtualbox/rpm/opensuse/11.3/ virtualbox-11.3

and then I entered the command "/etc/init.d/vboxdrv setup" in a root terminal terminal to setup Virtualbox,.

When I did that command everything was successful except the last part.

It gave this error: "modprobe vboxnetflt failed. Please use 'dmesg' to find out why"

I entered the command dmesg but I didn't understand the output.

    Please help me install Virtualbox.

If I am not mistaken and you installed it from the repo or even the VM site , It should be install under applications , system menu. All you should have to do is change your user permissions in yast to use it. VM window will pop up and tell you this when you try to start VM.

Before you install VM make sure you have GCC, Make and kernel source. I think it builds it on the fly. Not sure you need all that to install it , But it is a good idea to have that stuff install if you are serous about using linux.

    Studied 10 time out.
