    Question Allow gnome-shell to shutdown/restart

Logout, Suspend and hibernate works as it should in my gnome-shell desktop.

But Shutdown/Restart does not - I just get back to my kdm login screen again... Any ideas how do I enable this ?

    Thanks

Yes it works using GDM - thanks....

But why is it so related to GDM/KDM i.e. KDE actions work only with KDM and gnome ones only with GDM ? I thought that both followed a unified interface to allow all combinations possible...

You would think so. This isn't a problem for me in 11.3, although I'm using the LXDE display manager. Maybe the developers decided this was something to be corrected. In 11.2, some updates might do the job.

Maybe it's a quiet war between Gnome and KDE.
