    Default Amarok crash opensuse 11.3

    Hello all....

    I just installed opensuse 11.3. Now I can not launch amarok. It crashed after the amarok splash screen. Amarok version is 2.3.0-7.1.

    When i try to start from the terminal, the message is:

    InnoDB: Log scan progressed past the checkpoint lsn 0 37356
    100721 20:18:22 InnoDB: Database was not shut down normally!

    Error message was: "org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown" : " "The name org.kde.amarok was not provided by any .service files" "

    Anyone have the same problem or maybe the solution?

    Thanks..

    So, if I had this problem I would uninstall Amarok and then delete the folder and all of its contents at:

    Code:
    /home/yournamehere/.kde4/share/apps/amarok/
    I would then reinstall Amarok and see if you are fixed. You could also just delete the folder and see if that works, but you may need to also remove and reinstall the application as well.

    I had a problem like this when I turned it loose building its database with my massive music collection, while I was doing some intensive IO on the same hard drive. I ended up having to delete all of the config files with this command (use at your own risk):

    find .kde4 -name "*amarok*" -exec rm -rf {} \;
