There is a way to configure the entries in the right-click-menu, but it only offers preconfigured actions (right-click on the desktop → Settings for [used workspace-flavour] → Mouse actions → click the folder for the right mouse button / standard menu... I hope I didn't translate that totally wrong, german KDE here) and there's no option to open a console.
I suggest to take a look at → Yakuake. It rolls down from top of your screen (so it always runs in the backround) via a configurable shortcut and also features split- and fullscreen.
Yakuake?! - awesome, really! thanks for the tip to very useful app (that was actually preinstalled on my suse and i did't even know about)
Yakuake is cool indeed - I could hardly live without it.
Glad to be of service.
Amen to that, i am using it for i do not know anymore how long and has been the perfect tool for my purposes (many SSH connections to different servers).
