Default openSUSE 11.3 DVD Cover Art

    Hello!
Now that the official 11.3 release is out I have downloaded both ISOs (32/64bit) and am ready to burn them! Unfortunately however, I have no image to print onto the new discs.

Does anyone know of where I can find the openSUSE 11.3 disc cover art?

    Thanks!

I don't know what the official disc art is. I would ask the open-slx folks since they actually sell oS 11.3 in a retail box.

Otherwise this might make a decent placeholder (so long as you don't mind some of the text and the KDE mention)

Nice, problem-solved until someone unveils the actual official 11.3 art.
Unless of course you and the unknown original artist have just collaborated and unknowingly created the 11.3 art...

In which case the text on the bottom should be removed or somehow come to make sense:
"The openSUSE project in a worldwide
That promotes the use of linux everywhere
    Sponsored by Novell"

I assume it was meant to read:
    "openSUSE is a worldwide project
that promotes the use of linux everywhere.
    Sponsored by Novell"

Oh well. It still makes a good placeholder! Good job on the GIMPing.

It would be nice if somewhere there was a GIMP XCF for this or PSD (ugh) so it would be a little easier to edit it. Since only the dual-layer DVD (which is purchase-only if I'm not mistaken) has 32-bit AND 64-bit on one disc we need to identify if its the 32 or 64-bit version on this label. Also stating it is a DVD would be handy (since you can make CDs for live or net install) maybe along with "Installation."

Call me picky, but that's what I imagined when I thought of a disc label.

I created a quick hack of another person's DVD label (it's based on one from version 11.1). Not as pretty as the one you're working with, but here is my hack-up: openSUSE 11.3 DVD Cover.xcf - 4shared.com - online file sharing and storage - download.

Preview (NOT for print-usage, save the XCF into a new PNG for MUCH better quality):

I apologize, I should have mentioned this: credit for the original image goes to Elias Chrysocheris (openSUSE 11.1 CD Cover SUSE-Art.org).

i made all changes with GIMP...spent maybe two minutes doing each
version...if you want one that says 32 or 64 bit, just get busy and do
    it..

or, *wait* (quietly) until someone makes one you like...

Wow, we're really making some progress in here.

I like nbetcher's idea of using an xcf file - great idea, nice design as well. Looks like a good general template.
