How to setup my own opensuse repository

Hi. Can someone please post a link to instructions on how to setup my own opensuse repository.

Also I am not sure if it matters or not, but I will need this repository to be able to provide 32-bit software as well as 64-bit software.

If that is the case does the repository need to reside on a 64-bit version of opensuse?

thanks

Assuming you mean you want to mirror the repositories, see:

A repository is nothing more than a copy of a file structure. Doesn’t
matter what OS/platform/processor is in the system hosting the repo, as
long as the structure can be accessed from an external system using FTP,
HTTP, SMB, etc.

Hi Jim, thanks for the reply.

Actually I should have been more specific.

My company writes software for linux. Until now nobody thought of using a repository so people could easily install the linux software.

I would like to setup my own personal repository that I can put rpm’s into so people within my company can install this proprietary software.

I don’t want to be a public mirror.

thanks

Oh, OK - that’s clearer - thanks for clarifying.

http://en.opensuse.org/Creating_YaST_Installation_Sources is probably
more along the lines of what you’re looking to do, then.
