Thread: KWrite syntax highlighting problem

    Default KWrite syntax highlighting problem

For the past few days I've been writing C++ code in KWrite. Everything was fine, but at some point the editor doesn't highlight syntax correctly any more. It does not use bold font at all when it is supposed to. Colours, italics and underlines all function correctly, but for some reason keywords aren't put into bold font.

I couldn't find a solution by googling so hopefully someone here knows how to resolve this problem.

    Thanks

    Have you checked Settings>Configure Editor>Open/Save>Modes & filetypes?

Absolutely the same problem. Programming in C++, everything is highlighted properly except keywords. They just don't want to be in bold font. File associations are correct.

    Kwrite version 4.4.4 (KDE 4.4.4) "release 2"

Do you get the same problem in Kate?

Yes, I've just installed Kate, the problem is the same - in C++ source file everything is highlighted correctly except keywords.
