Thread: Nautilus - cannot be moved to the trash message.

  1. #1

    Default Nautilus - cannot be moved to the trash message.

    Msg displays when clicking on the right-click sub-menu in Nautilus to 'send a file to trash'.

    poor replication of displayed msg box:
    +==========================================+
    | |
    | Cannot move file to trash, do you want
    | to delete immediately?
    | |
    | Cancel Skip Delete
    +==========================================+

    this happens a lot.... Is there some type of problem w/my Gnome install?

    thank you for your time

    Hi
    That's normal for a file that is outside your user area
    (eg /home/username or a mounted usb device) or on a different partition.
