syncing google calendar with kontact

I seem to be having a problem with syncing google calendar with calendar in kontact. When i make a new entry in google calendar and it updates in kontact it does not retrive it. I think i have it set up correctly. Also how do i make kontact sync upwards with google?

You need akonadi-googledata from the repos to sync google calendar with Kontact.

Thanks for your reply but i’m not finding it. Is it in a different repo?

where did you look?

i’m not finding what operating system and version you are using so i
can’t point exactly to the one you want, but if yours is openSUSE
versions 11.0, 11.1, 11.2; or SLE_ 9/10/11 (or several others), you
might find it here: http://software.opensuse.org/
or here: http://packages.opensuse-community.org/
or here: http://tinyurl.com/3yjm2oh

caution: if you use a “1-Click Install” it is really not one click AND
if asked if you want to leave the repo enabled or active after the
install say NO!

if not asked, then when the install if finished open YaST and find and
disable all repos not on this short list of four:

oss
non-oss
update
packman

s for your reply! I got it installed but it still won’t let me save from my local calendar to google calendar. Do i need to tweak some seting somewhere?

BTW I’m using OS 11.2, KDE 4.3

Thanks!

i don’t really know, i always keep my calendar on Google, and never
keep it locally…i guess your best bet (if someone here doesn’t know
how to do what you want) is to find a place where kontact itself is
the main topic…maybe on http://forum.kde.org/ (i don’t know),
because not every little piece of KDE has ‘experts’ in this forum
focusing on openSUSE issues…
