Thread: Where is my desktop panel?

Default Where is my desktop panel?

Well, I am a newbie on OpenSuse so excuse any errors on my explanation.

I am using OpenSuse 11.2 with KDE, there was some kind of plasma thing on the desktop containing shortcuts to system status, etc...
I moved it to the second monitor and after a reboot it was not there nor anywhere else.
    How could I restore it?

That was a Folder Vview plasmoid, which was configured to display the contents of (don't let me lie) your desktop folder. In order to restore it you could simply right-click on your desktop, (unlock widgets), select "add Widgets", and then add such a Folder View plasmoid to your desktop. In order to configure it you can always right-click on the widget itself and select "Folder View Settings."

On the other hand, if you would just like to have a closer look at the contents that you saw on your desktop you could simply use Dolphin to open the folder "Desktop" in your user home directory.
