Thread: Socket Sentry

    Default Socket Sentry

Hi all. Just wanted to post a quick note to let people know about a new KDE network traffic monitoring tool called Socket Sentry. It's a Plasma widget that sits on your desktop or a panel and binary packages are available for openSUSE. Here are a couple of screenshots. Try it out and let me know what you think. Thanks.

All I get is that it cannot access /proc/net/ipv6 and just sits there
looking pretty but not doing anything maybe because it is not enabled on any
    of these machines :-)

OK, thanks for the bug report. I didn't try on machines that have IPv6 disabled.

    Thanks,

I was going to put it on the site, I will if you want, it was just that I
saw your post here first, I saw the release through rss in the kde feed and
installed from links there, had not tried it till I saw your post here.

Already opened a bug to track it. Should be fixed in the next release.
