Default Screen Resolution changes back every time I restart

Every time I restart my computer the screen resolution changes back.

I've recently started to use XFCE, it didn't do it in GNOME. what can I do to make it stay the same?

    thanks.

No idea about XFCE. Isn't there an option to save (might need root privileges) the configuration in XFCE's setup app?

Also, too little info. What version of openSUSE you're using? What video card? If 11.2, there's no xorg.conf (detection by X is automatic), but you can create one with sax2 (need to be installed from repo).
