Default Delete option when right clicking on a file in KDE4 ?

I have not been able to locate the setting for this,I am using 11.2 ,Yes I can do it with "rm" at the CLI, But that is not the point.

I should try to clarify this , I have a couple of DVD images I would like to delete, after emptying the trash can, and attempting to put a DVD image in there, I get this message "The trash has reached its maximum size! Cleanup the trash manualy"

This works fine on smaller files.

This can not be a good thing for new users who would not expect to need a command line for something as simple as this.Is this normal behavior or is it an issue with my setup?

And I still can't locate that setting!

But at least "rm" works !

Open Dolphin and click on 'settings' in the tool bar and then 'Configure Dolphin' from the drop down. From the items on the left, select general, then click the 'context menu' tab.

There, you can enable the delete function.

i think "clean the trash manually" means to right click on the trash
icon and select "Empty trash bin" and i think new guys can handle that
    (and not need rm)..

but, perhaps the dvd image is larger than the trashcan can hold?

maybe you should have devoted more space to /home (or wherever the
    trash lives on your system)

That is of course what is meant.

There is no lack of space in the partition ,or are you suggesting I should simply hang on to these .iso's because they are larger than the "trash can" holds ,Is this the only option for someone who does not know how to use"rm".???

do you have a trash can smaller than the size of a DVD iso?

why would _you_ make that decision that and THEN be angry at the
system for not allowing you to do what you cannot do, _because_ of
    your decision?

see? no, i'm not suggesting you hang on to them, i'm suggesting you
allocate the space _you_ need to do the things you want to do!

it's like you buy a car with 10 gallon fuel tank...and, then complain
because you can't put 20 gallons of fuel into it!

The .iso,s were 4.1 and 4.2 GB the reported remaining space was 4.8GB, I tempted to place one at a time in the trash.Yes the sizes are close but that should be enough leeway.

There's also the 'Shift-Delete' option, which bypasses the trash can.

I am not angry at the system but trying to figure out what happened and why.
