Default Is there anyone use VLC on openSUSE 11.2?

I installed VLC, and trying to play video use it.
    VLC media player 1.0.4 Goldeneye
    VLC version 1.0.4 Goldeneye

sometime, when I try to open a video(720p HDTVx264 mkv file) use it (right-click on the video file, select 'open with VLC media player'), then the VLC window is flash and then it just close by itself.

sometime I can open video use above method, but, the video effects is so~~bad, the video frame shows like mosaic, and very slow, and the Chinese subtitle can't be shown correctly.
I already indicated the Font in [Subtitles & OSD], did I do something wrong with VLC? anyone met this problem? how can I fix it?
