Have you heard of the Packman packagers?
My recommendation is users have 4 and ONLY 4 repositories in their software manager. Only 4. No others. None. Those 4 are OSS, Non-OSS, Update and Packman. Just those 4. No others. None. Others can cause problems.

A search on the Packman web site will give lots of good apps.

Plus there are good openSUSE search engines Try them out !

IMHO you are missing a significant part of the openSUSE experience if you do not explore Packman nor use the above 2 search engines.

Packman was installed in yast2, and I did a search in yast2 before asking the question, but it didn't show k9copy listed.

Your instructions worked perfectly. Thank you.
